A miniature house
The Casa los Gatos is a miniature house that serves as a home for the cats of the streets of El Carmen. It is located right opposite to the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporánea (CCCC) museum.
The sculptor and craftman, Alfonso Yuste Navarro created it in 2003.
Next to the Gate, the tile on the wall shows the water level of the flood in 1957 and another shows where the water level will be in 2100 if all is going in the same way like now.

- It is located in the Calle del Museo, in the historic center of Valencia.

- It is a miniature house with a door that is just big enough for cats to enter and exit.
- The house is decorated with a plaque that commemorates the legend of the “four cats” of Valencia.
- The legend tells the story of how the Cid Campeador ordered the extermination of all cats in Valencia in 1094. However, four cats survived and they are said to have been the ancestors of all the cats in Valencia today.
- Casa los Gatos is a popular tourist destination and it is a favorite spot for cat lovers.
