L'Oceanográfic de Valencia is one of the most famous complex of the city, the largest in its type in Europe, where different marine habitats (seas and oceans) are represented in an area of about 110,000 sqm, using 42 million liters of water. The salty water is pumped from the Malvarrosa beach. It is located in the dry Turia River bed converted into a beautiful park, integrated into the City of Arts and Sciences. It was opened in 2003.
