Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas

The Museo Nacional de Cerámica (National Museum of Ceramics) is located in the heart of Valencia, and is one of the most significant museums dedicated to ceramic art in the country. The museum is housed in the Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas (Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas), an architectural gem in its own right.

The palace was originally built in the mid-18th century as a private residence for the aristocratic family of the Marquis of Dos Aguas. The palace's construction started in 1740 and was completed in 1744. The building is a remarkable example of Valencian Baroque architecture, known for its opulent facade and exquisite ornamentation.
In the early 1940s, the property was purchased by the Spanish state and designated as the new location for the National Museum of Ceramics.
