125 Years of Rice Tradition
The Restaurante La Pepica has a priviledged location on Malvarrosa Beach (Levante Beach) with its terrace it is facing directly the sea. It was established in 1898, so having more than 100 years of tradition preparing rice dishes, located right next the beach in Valencia.
Ernest Hemingway visited Valencia and the proof of his amiration of the city that Valencia appears in seven of his books. He choose his favorite places, those in which he liked to spend time and enjoyed them. Restaurante La Pepica was one of those places that captivated the author of “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.
Pepica paella (seafood paella with peeled shellfish) was made for the first time when the Valencian painter, Joaquín Sorolla visited the restarant accompanied by other artists and still on the Menu.
